Matters for Consent by Participants

【For purchasers】

Please read the following information in advance and register yourself as our member with your agreement of our matters.

■ About participation

  • If you desire to participate in or watch the Auction, please contact our inquiry section in advance.
  • For participating in the Auction, irrespective of whether such be the period for preliminary examination or the period when the Auction is being held, registration as a Member in the Company is required.
  • For registration as a Member, your business card and ID are required.
  • For the Auction, for successful bid goods, the purchaser is required to pay a 3% (tax not included) commission.
  • Member registration can be accepted during the preliminary examination period, however, it is predicted to be crowded so we recommend advance registration. If you desire to register as a Member, please register yourself on “Auction Register” on our URL (http://starbuyers-auction.hk/).
  • We will check the original business card and ID used for Member registration on the day when the Auction is held. If you cannot show us the originals we may refuse your participation in the Auction.
  • We don’t allow proxy bidding, in principle.
  • We put goods on auction exactly what sellers submit to us in advance. If your certification result is different from the submission after auction, this responsibility is under sellers to solve issue with buyers or others.
  • We won’t take any responsibilities if buyers find any discrepancies about goods information and actual goods after win without joining preview event.
  • We don’t allow any return or cancellation after purchase whatsoever.

■ Payment

  • Payment must be made within 7 days of the day of a successful bid in cash or by bank transfer.
  • Currencies that can be used are US dollars, Hong Kong dollars or Japanese Yen.
    *Irrespective of the currency, we do not accept payment by check.
    *We do not accept payment in Chinese Yuan.
    *Payment by bank transfer shall be made to the account designated by the Company.
  • Transfer charges shall be borne by the customer. For details, please contact the inquiry section below.

■ Goods pick-up

  • If payment is made in cash, we will hand over the goods on the spot.
  • In principle, please come to receive the goods within 10 days of the day of a successful bid.
  • If payment is made by bank transfer, as soon as we confirm it, handover of goods becomes possible. It takes time to verify payments by bank transfer, so please leave some leeway in making payment.
  • Place for settlement and handover of goods after the Auction period is as below.
    Sometimes our coordinators are not available so please visit us after giving notice in advance.

■ Others

  • There are some antiques of Japan among the goods put up for Auction. Since we accept no returns after purchase, please make judgment with you own eyes and perform assessment during the preliminary examination period, and then participate in the Auction.
  • Please check the time schedule for the preview period and Auction period at the venue.
  • If there are any questions during the Auction, please inquire of the staff at the venue.
  • Feel free to make inquiries to the inquiry section of the Company with questions regarding the Auction.

【For sellers】

Please read the following information in advance and register yourself as our member with your agreement of our matters.

■ About participation

  • Please register yourself on “Auction Register” on our URL (http://starbuyers-auction.hk/).
  • Business card and ID are required for member registration.
  • Please contact us in advance for booking to visit our auction.
  • Sellers are required to agree to these matters before application. Meanwhile, we may make decision to turn down your application after reviewing.

■ Goods for consignment

  • Goods for consignment must belong to sellers. We will not accept any goods from 3rd party.
  • We will keep goods properly after sellers send to us.
  • Due date for consignment application is 30 days before auction date.
  • Goods information are required to filled in our consignment seller list (Excel data) and send to us in advance. Sellers need to contact us in advance and send goods by delivery company or bring goods by sellers. Any kind of cost (delivery cost, insurance and others) occurred for delivery belong to sellers.
  • Any responsibilities for incident occurred ( damage or loss) during delivery are on sellers.
  • Goods are required to put a name tag to match with consignment list. If goods delivery is delayed, goods have no name tag on or goods have difficulty to identify from list, we may turn down them to auction.
  • If the goods delivered are below our company’s standard, we will decide to cancel them from auction and send the goods back to you. Any related cost or responsibility occurred belong to sellers.
  • If sellers like to cancel your goods from auction, please contact us 3 days in advance before auction. It will not be accepted during auction. Goods to be returned after auction and any cost occurred is paid by sellers.
  • Please put your reserve prices on consignment seller list for auction if you like. If there are no reserve prices, we win your goods at highest bid price raised at auction.
  • Please take note that commission or tax are required regardless of your won or not. We request you to read carefully our business condition. You can also contact us for further inquiry.

■ Instruction by goods category

【Diamond Loose】

  • (1) It is required to fill in “consignment seller list” with goods details. If your input information is different from actual goods, responsibility occurred by difference is under sellers.
  • (2) Certificate is required for any goods for auction.
  • (3) We treat your goods very carefully at preview. However, if any damages occurred, we will not take any responsibility.

【Jewelry】

  • (1) It is required to fill in “consignment seller list” with goods details.. If your input information is different from actual goods, responsivity occurred by difference is under sellers.
  • (2) If sellers don’t take quality assurance for Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, Jade and so on, please write down “color stone” on “consignment seller list”. We put your goods on auction exactly what you submit to us in advance.
  • (3) We treat your goods very carefully at preview. However, if any damages occurred, we will not take any responsibility.

■ Payment

  • Your balance of payment will be made after deduction of consignment commission, taxes. It will be made within 7 working days after our auction. Bank transfer fees are paid by us.
  • Payment currency : US$ only
  • Commission fees for your unsuccessful bid will be issued for invoice. Please make payment arrangement within 7days after auction. Bank charges occurred by this must be paid by sellers.
  • We will offset commission with your purchased items if you have any.

■ Goods return

  • Please make necessary arrangement for return after auction if you have stock unsold.
  • We can return unsold goods to you after receiving your commission fee. It takes time to verify payments by bank transfer, so please leave some leeway in making payment.
